Gratitude is the act of showing thanks, and being truly grateful for things in your life. Showing daily appreciation, will give you a better outlook on life!
Thinking about the things that you are grateful for will help you live humbly, and improve your quality of life.
Here are some of the ways you can practice gratitude daily:
Journal - list the things you are grateful for
Random acts of kindness
Express your love to the important people in your life!
Be the reason someone smiles
Try to replace a negative thought with a positive one. (Ie., this is too hard -> this is going to teach me something).
Notice the beauty in nature/ things all around you.
Connect with loved ones
Be there for someone who needs it (including yourself!)
Compliment often (including yourself!)
Leave out the negative comments
Avoid complaining - seek opportunities for change
Try to embrace change/ discomfort
Meditate with your thoughts
Give thanks to people often
Learn from your mistakes
Share inspiration (someone else may need it)
Be proud of your accomplishments (even the little ones!)
Try to look for the bright side
Live in the present (don’t dwell on the past, or worry about the future)
